Hillary Clinton wins trial heats in Minn. against all Republican candidates

Crack for political Junkies

hillary_clinton.jpgSurvey USA sampled 540 registered votes in Minnesota Oct. 12-14 about presidential preferences. Working for three Minn. TV stations (KSTP was the Twin Cities partner), Survey USA ran trial heats of Sen. Hillary Clinton against six Republican candidates, including all the frontrunners. Clinton won every matchup by substantial margins. The margin of error of +/- 4.3 percentage points, the results were:

  • Clinton: 51, Giuliani: 40.
  • Clinton: 57, Fred Thompson: 37.
  • Clinton: 57, Romney: 34.
  • Clinton: 50, McCain: 43.
  • Clinton: 61, Ron Paul: 28.

Clinton enjoyed humongous double-digit gender gaps. Sen. John McCain beat her pretty badly 52-41) among men, but she she more than made up for it, beating him 59-33 among women.

For comparison purposes, Survey USA also ran Al Gore against Giuliani.

  • Gore: 50, Giuliani: 44.

Have a nice weekend.

  2. golfcarter,

We elected Jesse Ventura, too. I used to think Mrs. Clinton was unelectable . . . no longer.
